This cottage oozes with charm having stone archways, a bare stone internal wall and high, open ceilings. It is a spacious, one bedroom, single storey cottage sitting at the end of the mews of four cottages that were converted from 18th century stone byres. The walls are up to three feet thick in places.
Living Room
The living room is spacious with a high open ceiling and exposed roof beams. It has two large arched windows, one of which has a pleasant window seat and a pleasant view.
The other window was originally a large, full height, arched doorway into the building and adds to the character of the room. A bare stone wall at the end leads up a couple of steps
through a stone arch doorway into the kitchen. The room is comfortably furnished with a sofa, chair, coffee table and TV. While the sofa is a comfortable place to relax it is actually a
sofa-bed that can also provide additional sleeping capacity if required.
Kitchen
The kitchen is light and pleasant and is an ample size. It is fitted with modern units, gas hob, gas oven, microwave oven, refrigerator and washing machine. An exposed stone wall with an archway leads down into the living room.
Bedroom
An ample sized bedroom can be furnished with either two single or one double bed. The room also furnishes a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The ceiling is open with exposed beams. A sofa-bed in the lounge can provide an extra bed if necessary.
Bathroom
The bathroom is spaceous and has modern WC, wash basin and shower facilities.
